Amphibian are subject to multiple stressors, from the environmental fragmentation that is associated to climatic changes to pollution. Exposition to strssors, in turn, cause hormonal changes that can modulate the immune response. We studied the relationship between plasma glucocorticoid levels and the immune response in a frog species (Rhinella icterica). Our results show that the exposition to stressors decrease the immune response, especially under chronic stress condition.
