Neural mechanisms of visual perception

Project description

We are a Tandem Group of the Max Planck Society, in a collaboration between USP and the Ernst Strüngmann Institute in Frankfurt (Germany). The research in the laboratory is focused on the investigation of the neural bases of vision. More specifically, we are interested in the relationship between eye movements and visual perception. The laboratory is organized into two main lines. One, focused on neurophysiological behavioral studies and recording in humans, using magneto- and electroencephalography (M / EEG). The second line is focused on the analysis of electrophysiological data on monkeys, collected through our collaborations.
